The National Testing Agency has released the UGC NET Syllabus 2023 along with the official notification. There are two papers for the exam termed Paper 1 and Paper 2 in the exam and both papers are objective in nature. Paper 1 is common for every candidate while Paper 2 is subject-specific.
"The questions will be generic in nature, intending to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will be primarily designed to examine the candidate's reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness," the official NTA website states regarding Paper 1.
